Detroit Open Casting Call Extras Wanted For Transformers The Last Knight Filming

The Transformers The Last Knight filming moved on from Arizona to begin shooting in Detroit for the next eight weeks. According to the Fox 2 Detroit news report, this will be the longest time spent on any of the Transformers 5 locations, so expect to see a lot of action.

Movie director Michael Bay is said to be fond of the city and will be focusing on many of the well know places around Detroit. With the lead actors expected to be on set.

They are putting out an open casting call for extras to be in the film, according to Maryellen Aviano. They are looking for people 18 and older, as well as 16 to 18 range.
The crew is fresh off filming in the Arizona desert, and will be in Detroit for the next eight weeks. That's the longest they'll be filming at any location for the movie.

"We're trying to hire as many local people in every capacity that we can," Aviano said. "[Director] Michael Bay loves Detroit and loves the iconic landmarks and the architecture."

She said Mark Wahlberg and Josh Duhmel are back for the film, as well as Anthony Hopkins.

"It's just going to be a really great time while we're here," she said.
