Encore Returns Convoy - Reissue Air Attack Optimus Primal In-Package Photos

Count this as one that sort of fell off the map for a lot of us, but it looks like the Encore reissue of Air Attack Optimus Primal - or Returns Convoy as it's known in Japan - is starting to ship out to retailers. Robo Robo and 頑童玩具 NAUGHTY GUY have both posted to Facebook showing the new arrival in its packaging, which should mean that import retailers outside of Asia should be seeing this before long too.

And it may be none too soon, as within the last year or so we've heard more and more about the brown plastic on vintage Air Attack Optimus Primals succumbing to decay in its own version of the dreaded Gold Plastic Syndrome, making a replacement perhaps a bit more desireable. And this one comes in deco mapped a bit more closely with the Beast Machines animation appearance. The only thing it'll lack in the end is the wonderful Garry Chalk voice clips in the original release's electronics package.
