HasCon is almost upon us, and Hasbro's been teasing a lot of things that we may see this Friday. (And so have the leakers in China!) Hasbro's 2018 offerings are on the horizon and there's a ton of blanks to fill in. So what do we hope to see? A few subjects came to mind, and we're counting them down in the ever-popular listicle format. (But no slideshows - they're terrible.) Keep reading to see!
Is it really the Neo-G1 designs we've seen around the internet lately, or is it something else? And if it is the G1 Redux stuff, why does none of the merchandise we've seen so far say Cyberverse on it? At this point all we really have is a name and some leaked toy photos, so more information on exactly how two and two go together would be nice.
This is one of the things we're surest to see at HasCon... but how much will we see? We've had teaser images of the Dinobots and possibly a female Autobot... but the big question is how much of what we've guessed or had leaked to us Hasbro will actually confirm. Our hope is that we get to at least see everything through wave 2, and that they admit the Combiner functionality of the figures. But we'll see on that second one, as even their internal documents made no reference to it!
We've already got a good idea that this is coming, largely thanks to the images for HasCon non-exclusive, "First-Sale" figure Arcee being labeled as being a Club item. But, that's not going to be the only exclusive, right? And how will the Club itself be organized? Like the old TFCC, with a pricy membership bestowing the right to purchase their wares? Or something a little bit less restrictive? We've got our fingers crossed for a good outcome that benefits the largest number of fans, but the odds are very, very good that we'll find out more at HasCon!
