The last series of Figure Subscription Service offerings from the now-defunct Transformers Collectors Club is continuing to slowly be fulfilled. Subscribers will be finding the second shipment arriving in the next few days, with those lucky - and local to the Fun Pub office - already getting toys in hand. PumaTheHunter on Twitter is one such, and he's posted a nice batch of photos showing Double Pretenders Optimus and Megatron. Most of the focus is on Megatron, but both toys are represented nicely. Keep reading for more info, and of course the photos!
Unfortunately, Megatron, who features the Pretender shell originally from Grand Maximus does not include the sword or gun from that figure. Instead it comes with Sentinel Prime's rifle, and the sword from the G2-inspired Titans Return Voyager Optimus. Interestingly though, Megatron does have an all new addition: A bracket accessory designed to help securely fit both Megatron and the Mini-Con Spacewarp inside the Pretender shell. Reports are that the performance of this accessory is not great in that regard - even after a factory modification to reinforce one of its pegs which ended up eliminating the part's secondary use as an extra gun. Oops!
So at this point we know for certain the next shipment will be Toxitron and Counterpunch, plus the secret seventh figure, whose identity - so far - has remained uncompromised. It should be a good show in a few weeks or so when that final shipment gets out and subscribers can assemble their Wreckage combiner.
