Revealed via Hobby Korner, a collectibles shop in the Philippines, we've got our very first look at (and proof of the existence of) Autobot Lancer, the last female Autobot combiner figure that will form the combiner Orthia with Elita-1, Novastar, Moonracer, and Greenlight. Lancer's existence was originally hinted at with the blacklight code on Greenlight's packaging, but nothing more concrete than that had surfaced.
We've taken quite a leap from there though with a photo now of the actual finished toy, showing that this could be ready to ship out very soon! Lancer seems to use the same set of newly tooled parts that Greenlight featured, with remolded arms and torso versus what Moonracer and Novastar used. Lancer does however have her own unique headsculpt. lancer also has a very... vibrant color scheme. The colors themselves are true to the G1 cartoon roots of the character, but the saturation of them has apparently been turned up to 11.
It should go without saying that we have no idea whatsoever the release method intended for Lancer, other than that apparently collectible shops in southeast Asia will probably be carrying it. As close as we are to SDCC, however, and seeing that the toy has been fully produced already, we could very easily imagine a "see it now, buy it now" debut during the Transformers brand panel on Thursday, the 18th during Comic Con with it going up for order on Hasbro Pulse while the panel is happening. That's just conjecture for now, but it may be a good idea to be standing by with an extra browser window focused on Hasbro Pulse that afternoon just in case.
Of course you should plan to keep your main browser window right here on TFormers for all of the Transformers news coming live out of SDCC, because we'll be there to bring you all the latest updates!
