Following the release of Special Edition Punch/Counterpunch, the third and final installment of the Prime Wars Trilogy tribute releases, the idea started going around that part of the toy's shoulders were assembled a bit wrong. The reported condition finds the ball joint stems installed upside down, making transformation to vehicle mode more difficult, with some even predicting in the long term that the toy may be damaged as a result. Whether this is indeed a misassembly might be debated, but either way it's relatively easy to fix if you're so inclined. A Twitter user, appropriately enough known as "Counterpunch", recorded a short video demonstrating the process.
The procedures involved sound a little frightening at first, but can be done with no harm coming to the toy, and requiring no tool more complicated than a flat head screwdriver, used both to gently unclasp the body halves at the beginning, and then maybe a little later if you need something to help you keep the pieces pushed open while you work the ball stems free. Patience, a bit of care, and just slightly more force than feels comfortable are the keys to this operation, the process of which is made very clear by the video.
