Generations Platinum Edition Unicron Scheduled For December

Site sponsor Robotkingdom has put up a preorder page for a new release of Unicron! The Platinum Edition preorder, set at $129.90 USD, is due to arrive in December. Not much else is known about this upcoming figure, but we'll tell you what we know and what we can safely assume after the jump.
A placeholder image of the Amazon-exclusive version of Unicron from six years ago is used for the listing, which makes sense as that version was remolded and redecorated to be a closer match to the G1 character. The listing says that the photo is not the final design for the toy, so who knows if we'll see any further changes?

The Unicron mold has been used a number of times since premiering in the Transformers Armada line back in 2003. It was recolored immediately for Energon, reissued in its original colors as part of Universe in 2008, and finally modified for the G1 version in 2010. Even if no additional changes of substance have been made, it's good that such a significant character is periodically made available again.
