Bumblebee: The Movie
Hasbro at Global Consumer Conference 2015 - Transformers Cinematic Univers Plans Including Possible Bumblebee Movie
RAC - Friday, May 29, 2015

Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner gave a presentation at the Global Consumer Conference 2015 yesterday, outlining the company's plans. Much was made of Star Wars, naturally, but Goldner also had the chance to elaborate a bit on the plans for the Transformers Cinematic Universe. Apparently one of the ideas under consideration is a Bumblebee standalone movie. Keep reading for more details!
"Last year was Transformers 4. It was quite a good success for us last year" said Brian Goldner. "We've begun to work with writers and we are now developing the Transformers [Cinematic] Universe beyond the first four movies. And we are continuing to have Television [programs] on the air with Cartoon Network where Transformers is performing quite well in the first quarter coming off of a movie year".

"As we go forward, we would imagine several more Transformers Movies. Not just in the current lineage but also spinoffs and focusing on certain key characters that a beloved by the world over. Many of you know Bumblebee; the yellow Camaro… formally known as a yellow VW Bug and he is a beloved character by kids all over the world. We could see stories told around Bumblebee and other characters. We are in a process of building the brand equity around the Comic Book Business, our TV Business, our Digital Gaming Business and adding to that our new movie business of Transformers".

It's worth noting that the language used is "We could see stories told around Bumblebee" -considering we got the news stories about the hiring of the TCU Writer's Room very recently, it's very likely nothing is set in stone yet.

More Bumblebee: The Movie News
Via a photo tweeted out by the Licensing Expo's own Twitter account, we have a look at a new promotional logo for the Bumblebee movie, coming out later this year. There's not a whole lot of depth to examine here, simply showing an updated, more stylized font over a movie-style Autobot logo. As expected, this seems to be a headline feature at Paramount's booth at the expo. As for whether there's any more material from the movie on display, we'll just have to wait and see! Click through for the full photo and a crop in on the poster.
While we have been enjoying the spoils of the glorious G1esque Transformers Titans Return that relives all our G1 heroes in a whole new way. One of these characters is getting a full-on makeover to be readied for a whole new generation of fans that are believed to be entranced by the 80s and popular cultures from that era. It is no secret this unlikely new super-former is, Bumblebee. What has been a secret is how he's going to appeal to the young, the female, and the Transformers clueless where the Bayhem failed to reach.
ABOUT TRANSFORMERS BUMBLEBEE MOVIE PREQUEL: FROM CYBERTRON WITH LOVE - Fan-favorite Autobot Bumblebee is recruited for a top secret mission, and 1960s London won’t know what hit it when this robot in disguise goes undercover.

Collider has interviewed director Travis Knight and talked about his experience directing Bumblebee: The Movie! Knight talks about his first time directing a live action film and how it compares to animation, his first time recalibrating a film in the wake of test screenings, the number of other Transformers in the film, and his experience with Hasbro. Bumblebee has been the topic of interest for us at today's CinemaCon showing in Las Vegas, and capping off the promotional effort for the day, a quick teaser was shown to attendees. No public video has emerged yet, but comicbook.com has posted a synopsis from one of their staffers attending the show, which features - as you might expect - Bumblebee, as well as Hailee Stienfeld in her lead role as Charlie. Plus a little bit of a surprise a little farther in. Keep reading to find out what was shown tonight!
