Say goodbye to Hasbro Studios. Just in is news that Hasbro is finally throwing in the towel on Hollywood movie productions. After a succession of box office flops, CEO Chis Cox told Bloomberg that Hasbro will no longer co-finance movies based on its products. Instead they will be focusing on gaming with a new Dungeons & Dragons video game in development now.
It is hard to argue with their decision after the most recent Transformers: ONE failing to gain traction with movie goers. We don't know what this means for the Transformers Movie franchise. Hopefully, it will take a much needed break to refocus on classic properties instead of trying to spin off new ones. Sorry, Lorenzo!
