The official Hero-X Publishing Twitter account has posted an image showing off the cover to the upcoming Transformers: Generations 2020, the annual Transformers compendium due for release in Japan on December 10th. The original tweet follows:
こんばんは、ヒーローXです。またも突然ですが、『トランスフォーマージェネレーション2020』カバー大公開! イラストを描き下ろしてくださったのは、レジェンド野中剛先生です! 発売は12月10日です。ネット書店さんでの予約も近日開始いたします。 pic.twitter.com/LoKncp7Svg

According to the (admittedly unreliable) in-line Twitter translation of the Tweet, the illustration is by Tsuyoshi Nonaka, "the legend who drew the illustrations." More specifically, Nonaka was a member of the iconic illustration group Studio OX, whose distinctive design work has influenced many subsequent takes on the Transformers (including, we would hazard a guess, the current design team at Hasbro).
Nonaka has had a storied post-Transformers career with Bandai, designing the DX Daizyujin figure, the mecha which would become the classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord. Nonaka was also the creator of the Soul of Chogokin line of collector-oriented, diecast-intensive toys, and also provided mechanical designs for Shin Mazinger AKA Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact! and Mazinkaiser SKL.
