Hisashi Yuki on Twitter - Legends LG22 Skullcruncher Has A Tailgunner Plus Diaclone, The Granddaddy Of All Micro Playsets

Hisashi Yuki has posted some new images to Twitter over the past weekend! First up is Legends Skullcruncher with a second Headmaster/Titan Master in the gunner's seat in the tail weapon. Seating arrangements continue as the Diaclone pilot from the recently-released DiaBattles v2 sits in Fire Convoy/RID Optimus Prime's ladder seat and confers with such micro-playset luminaries as Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Leonardo of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fame. Skullcruncher is expected in July of this year and is slightly more expensive than past TakaraTomy releases of Deluxe-scale Transformers. This due to the addition of one of the small Titan Master vehicles as a bonus. The Titans Return release, known as Skullsmasher, is due out in a similar timeframe.

DiaBattles v2 is a reimagining of one of the toys from Takara's Diaclone line which never became a Transformer. The new pilot minifigure is in scale with the originals, seen to the left standing in front of a tiny diecast Scopedog from Armored Trooper Votoms. Also seen in that photo: Commander Riker, joining his Captain from Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Constable Odo from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
