TFW2005 reports that IDW has teamed up with San Diego's Reuben H. Fleet Science Center to hold a series of events titled "Crossover: Where Comics & Science Meet." While all the talks are set to feature comic properties currently published by IDW - Orphan Black, Star Trek, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Godzilla - the first talk on April 22 should be of particular interest to Transformers fans as it centers on robotics in comics! How do artists create the artwork? How do writers develop the stories?
Are they communicating realistic scientific concepts?
Could they even be predicting what's to come in science and technology?
Comic book artists, writers and local scientists will give short talks, followed by open discussion, addressing the creative and scientific sides of comics. Enjoy local brews and stimulating discussion with comic book creators and fans! Events will be held at the San Diego Comic Art Gallery in Liberty Station on select Friday nights. Come to one or all!

Location: All events will be held at the San Diego Comic Art Gallery. 2765 Truxtun Road, Liberty Station, Barracks 3 (close to Stone Brewing)
Time: Each event will start at 6:30 p.m. and will end at approximately 8 p.m.
Tickets: $15 per individual event and $55 for the combo ticket for all four events. Tickets are available online and only a limited amount of tickets will be available at the door for each event.
