Den of Geek has published a short interview piece with Christina Hodson, writer for Transformers: Bumblebee. In the interview, Hodson talks about how this movie will make a good entry point for newcomers in the audience, but still carry with it plenty to keep the existing fans satisfied. Another theme is the desire to bring a strong female character to be the lead in one of these movies, something that has not necessarily been achieved in prior installments of the franchise.
“I had a really clear sense in my mind of who [Charlie] was as a person and what they would mean to each other,” [Hodson] says. “That was always the North Star that guided everything.”
