Writer James Roberts has confirmed on Twitter that he will be taking "a break" from Transformers after the conclusion of his More Than Meets The Eye epic with Lost Light #25. When asked if the term "break" corresponded to a return, Roberts responded with "We'll see..." What this means for the future of IDW's Transformers comics is unknown, but one thing is certain: Mr. Roberts will be missed. Keep reading for the tweet.

Roberts is also credited as a writer and co-plotter on the upcoming Unicron, the grand finale that will wrap up 13 years of IDW Transformers continuity.
The "Phase 2" era of IDW has unquestionably been the best, most creative and most expansive period in modern Transformers fiction, contributing a tremendous number of new characters and ideas to the franchise. How do you even follow an act like that? We'll find out later this year or early next, we suppose.
