John Barber Talks About Transformers #50 And All Hail Optimus In New Interview

With just hours until issue 50 of The Transformers hits, Newsarama has posted an interview with writer John Barber, talking about the milestone and the motivations of the All Hail Optimus story it launches, and let's just say it isn't all a heroic light being cast! You can check out an excerpt of the interview below, as well as a link to the original article. And once you've read that, be sure to check out our review of the issue (click here) where I go in to the motives from a reader's perspective.
Newsarama: And there’s also the human side of things: Earth Defense Command, with Faireborn, the ex-Decepticon Thundercracker, and more. What are they thinking as this situation unfolds?

Barber: Yeah—we can’t forget the humans. I mean—that’s really the immediate thrust of the story: what do humans say when Optimus Prime says “your planet is now part of a Council of Worlds under my authority and, by the way, you’re not running your planet right, so I’m going to fix things.”
