Coming by way of Taiguer on Facebook, we've got a really entertaining video tonight. It seems that for a recent auto show, Kia Motors Corporation developed quite a display piece: a fully transforming vehicle! The SUV is seen to split its panels and (very) slowly rise to a standing posture. The "vehicle mode" is of course just an SUV shell around the movable frame, but it's interesting how the final result bears more than a little resemblance to early Diaclone car robot designs.
