Machinima Titans Return Details Emerge - More Episodes, More Pro Voice Actors, More YouTube Stars, November Release
RAC - Tuesday, July 18, 2017

Bleeding Cool has posted the first details about Machinima's Titans Return series, and they're encouraging. Joining the original series' cast of internet celebrities are some established voice actors - most notably Peter Cullen himself stepping in as Optimus Prime and Judd Nelson returning as Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime! The series - slated to begin in November - will also feature more and longer episodes than its predecessor, Combiner Wars. Keep reading for the specifics!
Titans Return debuts this November on go90 worldwide – except in China, where it airs on Sohu.com. The series features 10 episodes at approximately 11 minutes per episode.

Picking up right where the destruction of the Combiner Wars left off, TITANS RETURN takes the action of the Prime Wars Trilogy to new ‘heights,’ and features return appearances from many fan-favorite Transformers characters as well as introduces new Autobots and Decepticons. In the series, enormous Transformers called Titans are awakened and these massive characters bring massive problems. Trypticon, a gigantic lizard-like Transformer, rises to wreak havoc on Cybertron, while Windblade and a rag-tag team of Transformers must resurrect an ancient ally. Not all Transformers will survive, as beloved heroes are changed forever while others’ sparks are blown to oblivion. Like Combiner Wars, sophisticated storytelling reveals more than meets the eye for older audiences and kids of all ages when a sinister secret is discovered.

TITANS RETURN is being overseen by Executive Producer and showrunner FJ DeSanto.

What we do find concerning, quite frankly, is the level of violence the story seems to be promising. We're definitely not against violence and death in a war story, because that would just be silly, but hopefully they're not just there to push the idea that the series is Serious Business for Mature Audiences. Still, there are a lot of things here that sound like they're working to improve on Combiner Wars, so we're looking forward to giving it a shot in November!

Earlier tonight we shared with you some photos of an apparently early-release copy of Rodimus Unicronus, the new addition to Power of The Primes Leader class wave 2. But there's a bit of a discrepancy with it, as highlighted for us on Twitter by Barricade64. The official images we've seen of the toy since it was revealed have featured aspects of its deco and the slight remolding of the Rodimus Prime head that point to an intentional nod at the Shattered Glass continuity that was a recurring staple of Fun Publications' time producing licensed material for the brand. It seems that isn't quite so much the case anymore. Keep reading!

Amazon Japan has posted stock photos for the majority of the June and July assortments of TakaraTomy's Power of The Primes releases. Firstly, this crushes a lot of last-gasp hopes from the fan community as we find that the Dinobots aren't being redirected to a revived Unite Warriors (instead being the majority of June's individual releases), and no Masterforce-based redeco of Darkwing and Dreadwind is forthcoming. We do get really good looks at a lot of what we're getting as wave 2, including our best look yet at the Alchemist Prime/Submarauder Prime Master. We've mirrored all the images below, click through to have a look!
Thanks to Justin geier who gave us the heads up on the in-hand images posted on Ebay of the Rodimus Unicronus In-Hand Images Power of The Primes Leader Class figure. This first wave of figures is barely out and we're already seeing the repaint hitting the shelves in Wichita, Kansas? Read on to see the in-hand images of Rodimus Unicronus below.

It's been a contentious issue over the last couple of Prime Wars installments, and it's only getting more intense. We can see the appeal of stickers to solve budgetary problems, but we can also see the stickers peel - often before we've even bought the toy! In this editorial, RAC goes over the hows and whys of stickers and cites the remarkable consensus growing in a consensus-resistant collector community: Hasbro, Please Stop.
