MAY MAYHEM RETURNS? Power Of The Primes Package Leaks - Voyagers Elita-1, Hun-Gurr, Inferno, Deluxe Moonracer & Blast Off
RAC - Thursday, December 14, 2017
Surprise! Or it would have been if not for the tireless efforts of eternal Weibo leaker tf-factory, who has posted Power of the Primes package backs today. Included are Voyagers Elita-1, Inferno, and Hun-Gurr as well as Deluxe Moonracer. Also, a Deluxe Blast Off who is marked off presumably to permit more leaks later - which is just stupid, because what else would it be but a US release of the Unite Warriors mold? Keep reading to see the images, which are potentially frustrating on a variety of levels.
It's currently unknown how Blast Off will be sold. Though another "May Mayhem" situation is possible, we kind of hope not after the frustration it caused in finding Deluxe Combiner Wars Groove. It's also possible that Blast Off will end up at Toys R Us the way that Arcee and Grotusque have done. We won't know anything until the figure is actually announced, probably at Toy Fair.
This week on Radio Free Cybertron: I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys R Us kid. They got a million toys at Toys R us that I can play with. I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys R Us kid. They got the best for so much less, you’ll really flip your lid! From bikes to trains to video games, it’s the biggest toy store there is (gee whiz!) I don’t wanna grow up, cause maybe if I did, I couldn’t be a Toys R Us kid. More games, more toys, oh boy! I wanna be a Toys R Us kid!
Over on the Free Comic Book Day website, writer John Barber and artist Alex Milne have given an interview about their FCBD offering, Unicron #0! Barber outright calls Unicron "the end of the story we've been telling for over a decade," and touts the involvement of all of IDW's current TF writers in the planning of the story. Keep reading for an excerpt about Unicron #0, and a link to the full interview where Milne & Barber talk about what comics mean to them!
Thanks to SurgeOpressor we have a sighting report of the new assortment of Cyber Battalion figures featuring Shockwave and Sideswipe, plus some new photos of Shockwave. The figures were purchased at a Walgreens in San Francisco (of which we assume there must be a staggering number all told) with at least one other sighting in the same area indicating the beginnings of distribution for the new wave. They're priced the same as their predecessors at Walgreens, around $18, though it seems to vary by location. Click through to check out the new photos.
We've got a quick few images on Weibo giving us our first in hand look at the new Cyber Battalion Sideswipe. Part of an assortment with the brand new Shockwave, Sideswipe has been accused of not entirely representing the typical look of the character, and now we have a clearer idea why: It shares fundamental engineering (and probably some of its parts) with Prowl. While many parts look brand new, some of the inner body structure does seem to be shared between the toys, and they seem to transform identically. You can get a good look at the pair side by side in the new photos to compare them for yourself, click through to see!
This evening via twitter, Flame Toys has shared some new photos of an early sample of their upcoming figure of Tarn. Tarn is the first of IDW's Decepticon Justice Division to get an official, licensed figure representation, albeit a non-transforming one. Flame Toys reports that they've finally finished the color master as depicted in these images, which should represent what the full production run will look like later on. We have the photos mirrored for your convenience, check them out just below!
