More Than Meets The Eye Voted Best Science Fiction Comic Of 2016

Comics Alliance has declared Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye the best sci-fi comic of 2016! While the comic continues on as Lost Light with a new primary artist in Jack Lawrence, it seems fitting that the original team of James Roberts & Alex Milne receive some recognition as the second season of MTMTE comes to a close. Keep reading for more!
It’s monumentally difficult for a story to shift between cosmic space opera, alternate universes, sitcom comedy, heartbreaking romance, 4,000,000 years of wartime anxiety, and the kind of action that makes you afraid to turn the page and risk your favorite characters, without also being a mess of tonal whiplash, but James Roberts, Alex Milne, Joana Lafuente and crew did it every single issue with every single character — and I remind you, many of these characters are talking pickup trucks. It's particularly noteworthy that MTMTE managed to beat out the critical darling Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples. Congratulations to Roberts, Milne and Lafuente as well as guest artists Hayato Sakamoto and Priscilla Tramontano for a successful year of Transformers comics!
