Takara TOMY Transformers Masterpiece series MP-59 Beast Wars Rhinox lands with a heavy thud. What we saw in the retailer image was for real, Takara went deep into the old Mainframe renders to make a surreal kind of figure that is supposed to look like the vintage 3-D renders, or something? This is most visible in the beast mode, with a shiny kind of styling that is reminiscent of the MP-48 Lio Convoy beast mode. The full views of the included accessories show the alternate head part, Spark, chain gun, laser gun, and what is an adaptor for Primal to ride on Rhinox, as seen in the show (above). MP-59 Rhinox will be shipping in June 2024 for a price of 35,200 JPY / $238 USD. Check out the translated product information and images below for more on this new MP release.

Beast Wars' Autobot/land defense warrior Rhinox appears in Transformers Masterpiece!
Rhinox, who played an active role in the TVCG animation Beast Wars Super Lifeform Transformers, has been faithfully made into a three-dimensional figure based on the setting in the movie.
Completely transforms from beast mode (rhinoceros) to robot.
The size matches the series characters, and you can reproduce the action scenes from the play by placing them side by side with the Beast Wars characters that are already on sale.
Two Gatling hammers are included, and it is possible to take the impressive two-handed shooting pose in the movie.
One of the Gatling hammers can be stored inside Beast Mode, just like the toys from the anime.
Also comes with the device used to search for Optimus Prime's spark in the movie, as well as a spark and a face (scream).
By using the adapter for Optimus Prime (Beast Wars), you can recreate the scene of riding Rhinox in beast mode.
Set contents:
Rhinox body (1), Gatling Hammers (2), Laser Device (1), Spark (1), Face (scream) (1), Optimus Primal adaptor (1), character card (1), instruction manual (1)
The image is a prototype, so the shape and coloring may differ from the final specifications
12 minutes ago, BaCon said:Even if you do like them, it seems like Rhinox is just a terrible choice for a figure, no matter what they do. Maybe it will take an MP to do it right, but it seems to be an issue with any bulky animal forms like elephants, bison, etc they have to make a shell for the beast mode that always compromises the robot form.
Which is odd since you'd think they'd hide some of that kibble in the big barrel chests that Rhinox toys have. If they engineered it right, most of it could go there. There's normally quite a bit of kibble on Rhinox's design but you're right in that they perhaps make too much kibble with his toys.
For me, I just couldn't care less about MP Beast Wars figures anymore after Kingdom. Other than Airazor. Make her already. The rest I won't be getting anymore. I did want them though but not anymore. I just don't do MP figures unless I have to and I don't have to anymore for BW characters. Sorry Takara.
Just make Airazor though and soon.
