A Toys R Us employee who requests to remain unidentified but has a reliable track record has revealed some new discoveries from the inventory system, featuring mainly new Movie-series merchandise, plus a couple of as-yet unknown exclusives. Keep reading for a full list!
A new round of Premier Edition products has been found with different item numbers than the current languishing assortments, still coming in at $19.99. These carry a Do Not Stock Before date of April 20th, making them all but certain to be intended for the Bumblebee movie and its original summer 2018 release date.
Following that we have more info on another leak that came up recently. The extremely low-res movie figures with backdrop pieces are now known to be "Studio Series", and these are listed with Toys R Us as being stocked on or after July 1st for $29.99.
Rounding out the definite movie-related products, TRA MV6 HERO VISION MASK for the Bumblebee movie is also shown with an April 20th date and a price of $49.99.
Also found is an item marked as 039360 GEN STUDIO TRANSFORMERS at the Leader pricepoint ($49.99) and dated for April 20th. With the GEN prefix, maybe a series of Generations Leaders will be coming with backdrop pieces like the movie Voyagers later in the summer?
There were also listings for Energon Igniters in a variety coded "PWRPLS" priced at the irregular sum of $14.26, but we have no additional info on what that may be at present.
Finally there's a pair of exclusives:
• 040765 - EX TRANSFRMRS REBEKH GARAG - $29.99 01/01/18
• 040846 - EX TRA SEEKER THUNDERCRACK - $29.99 4/13/18
The first is a major head scratcher aside from that it's something to do with a garage concept. The abbreviated name is defying our word-association ability at present, but with a stock date of January 1st, maybe we won't have to wait long to learn more.
The second is Thundercracker, and given the Voyager-tier pricing and the timing of the release, it's most likely to be a redeco of Power of The Primes Starscream. If Thundercracker is to be exclusive to Toys R Us, it does lead us to wonder if another retailer might be getting a Skywarp around the same time!
