Platinum Edition Optimus Prime Year of The Rooster Edition Is Probably Not What You Expect!

Being the very first we're hearing of it, most likely "Year of The Rooster Optimus Prime" makes you imagine another rerelease and/or color tweak of MP-10 Optimus, right? Well, surprisingly enough it isn't! Out of left field, this new Platinum Chinese New Year release is based on Hybrid Style Optimus Prime, a tiny, highly articulate and somewhat over-engineered figure from around 2006. TFND has a few shots of the new set in package which we've mirrored. And if you think the small size will make this affordable, don't bet on it - the original release was on the expensive side even in 2006's economy!
