Platinum Edition Planet Of Junk Set Revealed In New Pictures
ExVee - Sunday, January 17, 2016

Discovered recently in store inventory data, we finally know what the mysterious "Planet of Junk" Platinum Edition box set is. Planet of Junk Clash is a set of two Generations Junkions along with yet another redeco of Classics Rodimus. Interestingly, in this set the toy is identified as Autobot Hot Rod, showing Hasbro is still going forward with its efforts to reclaim as many Transformers character names as possible. Click through to see the pictures and more info, including transcriptions of some of the packaging text!

The Junkions in the set - Wreck-Gar and Scrapheap - look as though they made be made with shared plastic colors, leaving the differences between them entirely to modified paint applications. And of course using different head options. Interestingly it looks like Scrapheap's head may be still using the same paint pattern as Subscription Service Tarantulas, or at the least a very similar design to the "mandible" paint apps that use of the Junkion mold featured.

Wreck-Gar and the Junkions aren't easy to understand - they speak in scattered phrases learned from Earth TV signals - but they're fiercely protective of their planet and the scrap piles that cover it. When the Autobots arrive, the Junkions come out weapons swinging. Before things get ugly, Autobot Hot Rod ends the battle not with a bang, but with a bah-weep-granah weep ni ni bong.

Wreck Gar
The Junkion leader wants to make sure the snoopy Autobot visitors get mud in the eye, by-and-by. Film at 11:00.

Autobot Hot Rod
Uses the Transformers' universal greeting and instantly turns the Junkions from enemies to allies.

Junkion Scrapheap
When your leader speaks only in phrases learned from Earth TV, the battle plan may sound a bit unusual.

The usual leaker has posted an image of a model sheet for Grimlock that matches the Cyberverse design, except with a significantly higher level of detail and a slightly differently stylized dino mode. Is this the Cyberverse design, or part of the possible "Evergreen" styled reboot of Generations, or something else? Either way, keep reading to see the design and stay tuned for our Toy Fair 2018 coverage as Hasbro makes its presentation within the hour!
Remember Mighty Muggs? One of Hasbro's attempts to get in on the lucrative vinyl minifigures market, Mighty Muggs was moderately successful about 10 years ago and then more or less disappeared with the exception of the occasional show-exclusive. But in the intervening years Funko conquered the world with PoP! vinyls, so Hasbro's going to try once again for a piece of that pie. Keep reading for the reveal of the new, improved Mighty Muggs courtesy of Screeen Rant!
Tonight, just hours before Toy Fair 2018 kicks off with Hasbro's fan media presentation, we finally have confirmation of Power of The Primes Deluxe Wave 2 at retail in the US. signals3 picked up a Moonracer at a Walmart in Springfield, Missouri, albeit by taking it from an unopened shipping case. While we don't endorse that behavior, it does tell us that the Deluxes are in to the distribution system and should start properly hitting shelves soon, filling in the last hole in US availability for wave 2. THUNDERCRACKER IN: STARSCREAM: THE MOVIE! The good news: somebody finally gave Thundercracker money to make a film. The bad news: it's Starscream, and he wants a biographical picture to win over the people of Earth. Will Thundercracker stand by his principles or... well, no, he makes the movie.
