Mostly Jetpacks on Twitter has snagged some Power of The Primes following their discovery at retail today, and has posted several photos of an opened Dreadwind. But this set of photos doesn't focus on the figure quite so much as the new accessories we'll be seeing throughout the line. So we get a nice look at the combiner hand, the secret of the dummy plug for its Prime Master slot, and front and back of this line's collector cards. Plus a little fun with a vintage Darkwing. Previews World has posted the latest round of comic solicits, taking us in to the summer. Notable on the block this month is the return of IDW's movie continuity tie in comics, once again written by John Barber and to feature interior art by Andrew Griffith. This time out it's a prequel to the Bumblebee movie, noted as being aimed at younger readers. Apart from that, we have the usual Optimus Prime and two Lost Light issues, plus some trades including a complete collection of the Wreckers titles. Business Insider reports that the letter sent to all ToysRUs employees explaining the company's current state and laying out their lack of severance has set a timetable for the closing of stores and warehouses. Though only some states have reported in, it seems that target date for the end of ToysRUs is May 14 in states ranging from Wisconsin to Hawaii. Keep reading for more details.
Ellia Kassoff of the company Strategic Marks has announced that the company's plan to revive Kay Bee Toys - once Toys R Us' largest competitor in the toy field - have been accelerated in the wake of TRU's impending closing. Kassoff seems extremely optimistic about the potential for a revived KB to take TRU's place in representing roughly 20% of all toy sales in the United States. Keep reading for more information!
