Brave Robotics, a company formed by roboticist Kenji Ishida, has partnered with Tomy and Asratec Corp. to create Project J-deite (Pronounced "Jadeite" like the stone and/or the Sailor Moon villain). The goal is to create a real, transforming car robot by the year 2020 - and in service of that goal they have released a video of their first prototype, the 1/4 scale robot named, appropriately enough, Quarter. While Ishida's inspiration was said to be the Transformers-inspired Brave Series, there's little denying Quarter looks a lot like Prowl and the other Datsun-mold Transformers.
