Yeah don't expect it to look like that. This is using the wrong wings for a US release. "Collector's" con or not, they're still sold as toys so the official figure should very much have the rounded tipped wings.
Not that I care one way or the other about the wings though as I couldn't care less about G1 reissues. Well, other than the fact that they always clog shelves and that space could be better used for more figures that actually sell. They've been clogging shelves other than a select few figures since they first started them. I remember going into Toys R Us and picking up 90% of them for like $5 a piece and they still weren't selling quickly. Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime were pretty much the only ones that never went on clearance. Maybe Optimus Prime and Skids too. Even Ricochet/Stepper made it to clearance. A small but extremely vocal part of the fanbase rejoice when G1 figures get reissues but that almost never translates to sales. What's more baffling is that people seem to forget this each and every time it happens too.
These clog shelves but I can't get a RED Galvatron or Shockwave and have never seen Shadowstrip and Crasher and would love another Galaxy Shuttle or two while others still want Soundwave, Bumblebee and Cosmos. But no, more G1 figures to sit around forever. Oh wait, BW reissues do that too since they're not reissuing the ones people really want. There are quite a few other figures from other lines people would like to get for different reasons. Test the market to see. Animated Rodimus Minor and Arcee, TM Megatron, Magmatron, Frostbite, Cryotek, Primal Prime, Target Devastator (RID 2001 Landfill), G1 Skyquake, G2 Slingshot, Energon Galvatron, Cybertron Megatron and Galvatron, Cybertron Optimus Prime and so on and so on.
...that took an unexpected turn. Seems G1 reissues bother me.
