I always liked RID Scourge or the idea of him anyway. It was years later before I realized he was merely a repaint of Laser Prime. I've never actually owned him but I think this trailer makes a good substitute.
Trailer
The trailer mode is not the typical box. The front end features a more stylized design. The length of the trailer is as long and Ultra Magnus and city commander combined. Add nemesis or any other classics repaint and you get quite a long mode. Colors match perfectly, the black, dark blue and silver. The teal matches too but nemesis's alt mode has little teal showing. The only visible teal is covered by the exhaust pipes. Construction seems a tad thin. The pins that hold the trailer in mode are no bigger around than a paper clip. On the rear roof two of the three used were broken before I opened it up. I could hear them rolling around inside the trailer. Opening the back door I found a small stress mark on a portion of the hinge. It may've come from the construction process. When I pushed the trailer down onto the hitch the top caved in and I had to reassemble.
Battle Station/Lab
Opening the trailer up we find mostly black with lots of molded details but almost no painted details. If Reprolabels.com makes a sticker set most likely it'll be on it's way to my mailbox. The design is unlike previous trailer/battle platform in the way the back folds down into a ramp and the roof and side folds down as a side ramp. It seems odd. Features include: helicopter pad, crane with grabbing claw, and two cabinets. The helipad is only big enough for a minicon sized helicopter which is proof that universe hotshot is evil spawn. The crave arm has two ball joints that are strong enough to hold the weight of the included guns but not nemesis's exhaust rifle. The inside of the cabinet is designed to hold the two guns that are also included, I'm sure I'll cram more into them. The teal in this mode is limited to the windows of the crane and two details at the front while nemesis has loads of teal in bot mode.
Nemesis Battle Roller
This accessory pulls double duty, as both the wheels of the trailer and useless drone everyone wants with their Optimus trailer. It features 6 wheels so while attached to the trailer it makes it look a little odd. There are two holes for mounting guns. I would've liked a mini-con port. Roller pulling drone duty the trailer sits on two fold-up panels. These are not load bearing. They have no problem holding the weight of the trailer but Unicron or a cat would most likely ruin it.
Overall
Going back and rereading this it seems a little negative, my reviews typically are. I'd rather give a heads up on the marks against rather than gush over the good. This is an Adult collectible for a reason, it is not constructed for kids or adults who play like kids. So am I happy with my purchase, YES. Buy your own mine is not for sale. Having him really makes me wish Decepticons had more car alt modes, Astrotrain and Tankor just don't fit. Bugbite and Drag Strip would probably be good... anybody got them for sale?
