I've decided to write a review on a pretty under-rated transformer, Buzz Claw. I hate fuzors, but this is a very good toy despite that. I'll just get to the review.
Beast mode: This is supposed to be a mantis/lizard combo, I guess. It actually goes together quite well, unlike (COUGHINJECTORCOUGH). It looks great, despite the robot legs that stick right out. But this is a basic, after all. It has some really nice coloring on its tail, head and wings. Other than that, it's just translucent orange and green. The gimmick is a little peg on its back. Press it, and it throws its little claws around. The problem with this mode is that the back of his neck keeps on going backwards, revealing his tiny robot head. 5 it does this all the time. Oh well, great beast mode overall.
Transformation: Pull up his neck, yank out his robot head. Take off his back. twist his arm things up kinda like Dinobot. pull his beast head down as a head, and pull apart his legs. Ta da. (By the way, I like how his weapon mixes into his beast mode. Snazzy. )
Robot mode: Good lord this guy reminds me of Dinobot. His beast mode head is now his chest, his arms look a little silly, etc. One of the most noticeable things about this toy are his neon yellow legs. Take his tail off and Buzz Claw can use it for a shield/sword thing. It uses his beast mode claws as a huge weapon. Overall, the robot mode is just a little organic for my tastes. Still a nice mode though.
Overall: One of my favorite basics. I hate fuzors. The very idea is stupid, but I still like this thing. It's a nice looking, visually striking little toy. Pick it up if you find it. WARNING:If you find him being sold without his claw weapon in robot mode, DO NOT PURCHASE! without it, he can not transform!
