A friend of mine sent me this guy for Christmas last year from Canada, he liked the look of it, when I saw it I was disappointed in Hasbro for this one, I'll explain.
Vehicle mode: I think this mode is nice enough, kinda. It looks like a mix of a helicopter gunship and a rescue helicopter. He's mostly a royal blue with some dark purple in a few areas and a very dark blue for the front. There's a trigger thing that makes him look like a very bulky version of the G1 Megatron, and it makes the rotor above spin, and if you link Crumplezone, a cute tank and robot, into the cockpit by flipping it up, you'll have the tiny gun that Crumplezone has for his tank barrel, moving side to side and it looks so cute! Very noisy too. Not a bad mode, a little too bulky and he does actually feel quite heavy. Fun enough with the Crumplezone addition to the cockpit.
Robot mode: Now this is where it's very disappointing. Transformation is way too easy, it's an insult to Transformers the way he transforms, and I mean that. His robot mode is terrible, so bad I mostly keep him in helicopter mode.
His head looks stupid, it just flips up, that's all, really bad. The arms are poor and should have been able to be more pose able, like having them swing to the side so he can fire to his right or left, the legs are a joke, that's not posing, that's leaning back in style. The powerlinks don't even give a fun factor, I don't want to be trying to make a mini con stick on and fire the missiles or make his silly knee guns fire, I would have preferred something like a giant missile launcher flipping out and firing a barrage of missiles. Pathetic toy. Oh well, at least his vehicle mode is good. And you can remove the tail block and his rotor and use them as weapons, so that's one tiny plus factor, but only one.
I'm not very happy with this toy, Transformers are great, but this is like Sonar, an utter insult to Transformers. If you really want to add to your Decepticon army, then I guess he's good for target practice, little else, fun helicopter mode though, that's what saves him from not going into a drawer and forgotten. If Hasbro is reading this-STOP MESSING UP TRANSFORMERS!
"Cyclonus, why are you looking up all the time?" "Because I can't look down, my chest is too big and my legs make me look up from bad posing."
