Armada - Air Defence Mjni-Con Team

One good thing about Armada, Mini-cons. Was looking for this pack when I saw Armada slowly appearing here a month ago. Just found them today and they're pretty cool.

Jets and Shuttle modes: Two jets, one shuttle. The colours are good, mostly blues and whites with some red and black, the design of them is great. One wheel on the jets gives them a landing point and the shuttle rests on the handle of their Star Saber mode. Not a lot to really say about them, they just look great and highly playable.

Robot modes: After some slightly fiddly transformations, they become not too bad looking robots. Same colours mostly with some transparency (however you spell it) and they stand fairly well, once you can them to stand. Not bad at all really, just not great.

Star Saber: I like this idea, it's a good-looking mode and I'll be seeing which of me and my fiancee's Transformers are hold it. It has a problem staying together though and the handle comes off too easily. Very fiddly, but it looks good and if I can figure out how it lights up, I don't have a lot of Armada, then it might look even better. All in all, not too bad at all, just not perfect.

A good set to find, they're not perfect, but they are fun and that's what counts. Maybe G1 Prime can take the sword - that would be cool. If this is what I can expect from mini cons though, then I'll happily buy more sets of them when I find them, good little toys indeed.
