Laserbeak - Armada - Figure

What can you class this version of Laserbeak as? Roleplay? A figure? He doesn't seem to have a general part of anything if you think about it.

Camcorder mode: Orange, very orange. He's quite compact and it's a cute looking mode. He has the details you would expect from a camcorder and the buttons at the top activate some sounds. The sounds aren't special really, they're just something to give effect. You get a photo snapping like sound, when you take a photo I guess. You get an eagle like sound, which is like thinking of G1 Laserbeak since he was an eagle like mode. You get a firing sound which I guess is for the stun gun mode and you get what I think is supposed to be music, I think. You also get a strap at the back that you can tie around your hand and hold the toy in this mode better, plus if you flip the grey slab at the left side, depending which way you're holding it, and you'll get a picture of Prime, the Armada version, staring at you. I like this mode, it's a cute one.

Stun Gun mode: Just the handle makes a difference here and it's a cute mode again. Little button on the handle makes a single noise that sounds like a laser gun firing, cute. This mode is best suited for smaller hands, but then my hands are small despite my age, so I didn't have any problems holding the toy in this mode.

Bird mode: Now this is Laserbeak's true mode. He looks odd though since his head, for lack of a better word, is mostly the lenses of a camcorder. His wings are always out, you can't fold them or anything, you can just have them like that. His feet move some, partly, it's not much, but you can have him looking closer or farther away if you're careful enough. Not a bad mode this one, looks good as a display piece really.

Not a bad toy, not a great one, but there have been worse. This is best suited for kids really, it's made for smaller hands. Odd though that Laserbeak is shown as this tiny little thing that can fit in a human's palm in the cartoon, yet the toy is pretty big when placed next to another TF. Polly has got to lay off the microchips for sure. Good toy though, it's cute and has it's own little charms, worth buying to be honest.
