Cruellock - Energon - Figure

Wave: 2
Pricepoint: Basic
Accessories: Energon tailblade, Energon handgun

Cruellock is the next Terrorcon in a line of many to be released in Energon. Cruellock, like the other terrorcons, comes with two "energon" weapons that integrate into both his beast and robot mode. The weapons found with Cruellock are an energon tailblade and an energon handgun, in a slightly darker transparent green than found with wave 1 Terrorcon Battle Ravage. The tailblade measures at about 4.25 inches long and about 1 inch wide at it's widest point. The handgun measures about 1.5 inches in length.

In beast mode, Cruellock evokes memories of the Godzilla design seen in the most recent US blockbuster release. The head is almost dead on with that envisioning of the great lizard. Cruellock stands about 4.25 inches tall in this mode, and about 4.5 inches long. With the tailblade in place, Cruellock reaches an impressive 7 inches in length. Transparent energon parts are also found in the beast mode claws, both on the hands and feet. The handgun does not quite fit in this mode however, especially in the storage compartment within the tail.

Transformation is relatively easy, even for a basic. It begins by removing the blade from it's storage compartment. The tail splits into, allowing the hips to come together and rotate up. This causes the beast head to flop back into position, exposing the robot mode head and pushing the shoulders out. It is a borderline flip-changer, as many of the Energon basics are. Rotate the head around, and now Cruellock is in robot mode.

In robot mode, Cruellock stands about 4.25-4.5 inches tall, depending on the inclusion of the beast mode head. The grey color found in other Terrorcons is much more apparent now. Cruellock can easily hold either of his weapons in this mode, or, you can combine them to form a longer sword type weapon that measures around 5 inches in length. Not quite Starscream's sword ... but easily the biggest Terrocon weapon to date.

Overall, Terrocon is a great addition to the Energon line. It is nice to see a new dinobot inspired Transformer, with the nods to such classics as Godzilla thrown in as well. Add in the largest Terrorcon weapon to date, and Cruellock is a solid addtion to your transformers collection.
