WEDGE (Copy, Gold Leader. I'm already on my way out)
Vehicle Mode
The adolescent leader of the Build Team, Wedge is a 9 cm(3.5") long bulldozer. Mostly light and bright orange, with gray treads, silver patches on the hood, and an Autobot symbol on the roof of the cockpit, Wedge rolls along on four tiny wheels. Like the other Build Team members, he's quite solid in this mode.
Attack Mode
Wedge's shovel splits in two and folds back to reveal a three-clawed battering ram. Kinda iffy, since he'd probably have even more punch with the shovel in place instead of folded back.
Transformation
Wedge falls in between Heavyload & Hightower and Grimlock in terms of complexity. The front of the bulldozer splits to become his legs while the treads become his arms. His head flips out from the bottom of the vehicle.
Robot Mode
Standing a mere 11 cm(4") tall at the head, Wedge is easily the puniest member of Build Team. His head is orange and silver with green eyes and a neutral expression. His shins are hollow at the rear, making him prone to falling over backwards. He's got the worst case of vehicle mode kibble, with the shovel halves hanging off his upper arms. On the plus side, he's not only proportional, but very poseable, with joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. His waist also swivels, but first you have to fold down the connector plug on his back. His weapon is a double laser cannon formed from his battering ram.
Overall
Although he's by no means a bad toy, I can't helped but feel a little ripped off at having to pay Deluxe price for such a puny fellow. If possible, he really should have been sold as a Basic.
