Growing up in the late '80s. Onslaught was the only Combaticon I ever owned, and on top of that I left Bruticus' head in a hotel room in Toronto somewhere. And I passed on G2 Bruticus, a wise decision in retrospect, him being so hideously rainbow-coloured and all. So I'm quite pleased now with these latest versions being released.
Vehicle Mode
Armorhide is a Leopard, an outdated main battle tank that is still in service with the Canadian Armed Forces(oy). Mostly sky blue with black and white camouflage patterns and dark gray treads, Armorhide measures 8 cm(3.14") long, 9.5 cm(3.7") if you include his main gun. He rolls along on four tiny wheels. His turret can rotate a full 360 degrees, but his gun does not elevate. A small Decepticon symbol is painted on his front. Armorhide's twin sonic cannon snaps into the two holes behind his turret. His electron gun can either be mounted on the front of the tank or on top of the sonic cannon. The cannon can elevate almost 90 degrees, and Armorhide's turret can still rotate nearly 180 degrees. Pity the US Army doesn't try building a powerhouse like this.
Transformation Pretty simple. Pull up the turret, flip out the legs, and lower the front of the tank.
Robot Mode
Armorhide stands 8.5 cm(3.3") tall at the head. He's pretty much a brick in this mode, having only swivel joints at the shoulders. Tiny fist impressions are etched into the insides of his massive arms. His head is gray with orange optics. The turret on his back gives him a tendency to fall over on uneven surfaces like carpet. His electron gun fits into either hole on his arms, but he can't hold his sonic cannon. Except, if you turn the electron gun around, you can fit the butt of it into the slot on the base of the sonic cannon, giving Armorhide a super weapon.
Overall
Overall, a cute little tank with cool colours and a so-so robot mode. 7/10
