Well The time has finally come. Mretroplex, the leader of Giant Planet and the holder of the final planet key. Metroplex brings me yet another giant hit to my wallet. Is Metroplex Worth your money?
Robot Mode:9/10
This mode is more or less his legs folded up and thats about it. If you turn his head around you get the brute mode. Extend the legs and turn his head back and you get his battle mode.
Battle Mode:9/10
Metroplex comes packaged in this mode and stands up there with Final Battle Prime and Unicron. His colors are primarily white and blue. He has great articulation and near limitless poseability. The downfall here is that his shoulders don'y stay locked in place ,so if you put sparkdrinker in his hand then it tends to drag down. Sparkdrinker itself lights up and the blade splits in half to reveal the light and a sound. Wow(not really). I've come to expect little with the cyber-key effects.
Alt. Mode:10/10
Well this certainly is creative. I know there have been quite a few that bitch and moan about his mode not being earth-based. Well he's not the leader of Earth is he? He's the leader of a planet that builds cities and moves on and builds more cities. It is actually a cool mode. His crane moves up and down and connects in 2 different spots on the ax. He gets a crane/shovel, The ax, and he has the shovels at the front end. Pretty good combination and saves time and a little les of a labor pool. I'd love to control a vehicle like this. It is just plain awesome. His alternate isn't as obvious as Menasor's and it's a little difficult to transform, I stress the little because of all his connection points,but it's not rocket science. Nothing wrong with this mode.
Drillbit:7/10
This mini-con seems a lot like armada megatron/galvatron's leader-1/clench. A little bit of a mold change but, pretty much the same. Instead of lasers, you get drills, makes sense. Also you don't fold the legs you leave them in front. The cockpit on his back is now facing the opposite direction. Not a bad mini-con.
Overall:9/10
I love Metroplex. Absolutely worth the cash. He has a couple of downfalls. Mainly the shoulder joints and the lack of a kick-ass cyber-key ability. He does have a lot of mini-con ports. 14 to be exact, but none on sparkdrinker. Pick him up if you can afford to.
