Axalon Rattrap - BotCon 2006 - Figure

The next figure in the dawn of futures past set is axalon rattrap. another basic figure for the box set

Alt Mode:

Rattrap's alt mode is a motorcycle. He is a repaint/remold of cybertron ransack. His main color is gray with translucent yellow/orangeish, light brown(teetering on gold) and black accents. The cycle wheels, lights and windshield area are all the translucent color. Inserting his golden disk cyber key releases two barrels on the end of the cycle which are also translucent with silver and black accents. A pretty solid alt mode, this makes a lil sense because when rattrap went transmetal he adjusted rather quickly to it, unlike cheetor did.

Robot Mode:

Rattrap retains all the same colors in this mode, with some actual brown for his upper arms and upper legs. His head wasn't remolded which is fine since he's wearing a hat, so it looks like it could be rattrap. He has a maximal symbol on his right hand. There are 3 things i this mode i don't like about him. first and the most annoying thing are his feet and the heels that you have to pull out, don't lock in place on him. The other is the only kibble is his wheels, while not as bad as his feet, his arms can't go straight down. The last thing is that his gun is way to big for him, in his bio card they call it a double barreled chain machine gun or something to that effect, which doesn't make sense since he's a spy. It's a decent mold for rattrap and i really can't think of a newer mold that would fit him as well.

Overall:

Not a bad choice for rattrap, but i wish they would put a peg or something in to fix his heels, that's the only thing i really hate bout the ransack mold. I actually like this about the same as the other ransack molds, but he is a lil bit cooler than ransack. Just a side note, his translucent color turns bright orange in the black light and looks pretty cool as well.
