Thundercracker - Movie - Voyager Figure

In the land of Transformers, we fans are subjugated to original, repainted, and refined molds of certain figures. The movie line is not different and here is one of the best repaints/refined mold: Thundercracker.

When you first look at Thundercracker in his box, one would think that he would be a direct repaint of the movie Starscream. That is, until you look at the box art that shows his head, and you know it is different right away. Granted one could say that this is a repaint of the G1 style movie Starscream, some would probably argue that is the other way around, that THAT Starscream is the repaint of Thundercracker. Either way, both sides would be right.

Vehicle Mode: In this mode, Thundercracker has the same vehicle as Starscream. A Raptor, I believe. While Starscream is tan and beige, with some black in color, T.C. has his G1 colors, blue for the most part, with the red and silver trim on the wigs. A silver Decepticon emblem is on the outside of each of the tail wings (not the ones on either side of his head). Orange is color of the plastic for the cockpit. The missile launchers are black with the same blue thats on the fuselage shows up. Grey is color on the bottom (where his legs are), with the flaps still black as they are on Starscream. Underneath is the same as Starscream

Transformation is the same as it is with Starscream, but one noticeable difference is in the leg area in that it is not quite as hard to adjust his legs to get them just right.

Robot Mode: T.C.'s robot mode is 95% the same as Starscream with the colors and the head being different. His head is like the classic version, with a mix of the alien insect as well. Orange is the piping that makes up his eyes and mouth, with a silver face, and black top. Also, if you look real closely at his crest, you can see a very small Decepticon emblem molded on to it. Same colors as show up in this mode as they do in vehicle mode with the exception of more silver near the chest area, where the wires are, where on Starscream it is brown and red. On his arms, black shows up on the outside of his shoulders, grey makes up the color of the arms themselves, and his cannon hands are black with the "fingers" being blue (as stated above in vehicle mode explanation). For T.C.'s legs, that same grey that is on his arms, are on his thighs, a splash of silver and black colors his knee covers. The main blue, is the color for his lower legs, and silver also shows up near his ankle. Black is used for his feet. His missiles are in grey as well and the missile holders, while black on Starscream, are grey as well.

All in all, this is a great figure to add to the movie Decepticon army, and it makes you wonder if they will release Skywarp, or even the retool the mold a bit more and release the other seekers as well. If not , I guess one could get another TC or Movie Starscream (not G1 color), or two and repaint them as the other seekers, if you wanted to go that route.
