On Youtube this weekend, Chefatron has posted a couple of videos for new Robots in Disguise toys that have started to hit in Asia. First up is a pair of videos for two new Legion figures reflecting some of the updated Decepticon cast in the new season of the show, Cyclonus and Heatseeker. The videos will show off the basics of the two figures, including transformation - and sometimes the best part of these tiny figures are the clever ways they have for getting from one form to another! Both videos can be found in the full post below.
We've got a first look in video form at the just-released Stormshot from the new assortment of Robots in Disguise Warrior Class figures, thanks to chuckdawg1999 from our forums! Leading off the Combiner Force sub-branding, Stormshot is an all new mold Autobot jet. While the video sadly fails to provide any information about the poseability of the robot mode, we get to see the transformation and a little detail on the accessories. The video is embedded below, so click through to take a look!
The official Transformers Facebook page has posted a new video featuring the latest Soundwave figure drew on 3 decades of history for inspiration. The video walks through the many incarnations, all of which are based on the original G1 Character. What IS somewhat interesting is we get the same Prime Soundwave in the cartoon, but a new RID looking figure as a toy. Watch the clip now for the at the Official Transformers page.
Thanks to the fine folks at ASM, we have a pair of quick videos demonstrating the newly revealed Combiner Force sets from Robots in Disguise. The two packs feature a pair of figures that combine top to bottom to make a larger robot, much like Transformers Energon, but now with fun automorph style features that engage when the toys are connected together. The first videos shows the combination, and the second shows an individual figure being posed. Both are embedded, so click through to take a look!
Hasbro has managed to sneak the odd toy here and there past us, getting something to retail without ever giving a hint in advance even in our modern, highly informed age of fandom. And the latest on this track is an exclusive Warrior Class assortment found in Toys R Us in Ontario, featuring recolors of Power Surge Optimus and Scorponok (as Paralon), but also the evidently new-mold Starscream! A previous report suggested Starscream might find his way to the RID toyline, and this could be the first sign of that coming true. Click through for photos!
TVShowsOnDVD has posted some information about the season 1 set for the current Robots in Disguise cartoon, due out on May 10th. This article goes over a list of bonus material that'll be included. Taking up most of it is a list of the shorts that previously debuted on Youtube, but there's also what sounds to be original material created for this set. We have a copy of the list below, so keep reading to find out what you can expect!
Twitter user @not_on_twitta has posted some in-hand images of that RID Warrior Class Starscream that most of us didn't know existed until last night! It's a pretty decent looking figure that is somewhat reminiscent of Animated Starscream in my opinion. The deco is very G1, with the big shoulder armor being painted to match Starscream's coronation mantle. Keep reading to have a look!
Autobase Aichi has posted images of the new Kinder Surprise eggs featuring RID toys! Kinder Surprise eggs are generally chocolate eggs with toys inside - though the type pictured seem to be a filled egg with a separate toy. But if you can get these in your country, you can get poseable mini-kits of Bumblebee, Steeljaw, Sideswipe, Strongarm, Grimlock, and Optimus Prime! Keep reading to see the images.

TakaraTomy's Hisashi Yuki has shared a couple of fascinating pieces of art on Twitter in recognition of the 15th anniversary of Transformers: Car Robots, later known in the US as the first Robots In Disguise. The first is a rough color layout for Fire Convoy, AKA Optimus Prime, but the second one is an even older piece, a design sketch for the character. In the early stages Fire Convoy looked a fair bit more like the original Optimus Prime - also, he was a Maximal! Keep reading to see the images!
