Robots Come to Tabletop - Commandroids: A World Transformed is Now Live on Kickstarter

Earlier this summer, a new tabletop RPG was introduced at TFCon Toronto. “Commandroids: A World Transformed” is a simple system in which you play a transforming robot (and their pilot!) You build your character from an exhaustive list of special abilities and alt-modes, with more waiting to be unlocked on the Kickstarter. You are a heroic Symbitron warrior battling the forces of the evil Nemesites in an alternate 1986. This retro setting combines the G1 experience with other robot worlds such as Robotech and Voltron into what has been dubbed a “Third Party Universe.”

Nerdy City, a small indie game company out of New Jersey, has enjoyed previous success with their first game, “ReMemorex,” a tabletop RPG about kids and small-town conspiracies in the 80s. This is the first in a new line of games called the “Radical Shadows” universe, based on the toy worlds of the 80s. “Commandroids: A World Transformed” is a fully standalone game that is also compatible with ReMemorex and will include rules for the popular FATE system. It is currently on Kickstarter, check it out!
