Robots In Disguise and IDW Windblade writer Mairghread Scott just shared a series of animated GIFs on her Tumblr page showing animated Windblade's reformatting into her current jet-winged incarnation. Scott was inspired by the transformation sequences of "magical girl" anime like Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon - and it definitely shows in the animation. I did this! I finally got my own magical girl transformation in one of my cartoons! Many thanks to Todd Waterman and Dave Hartman. I just got to see the final product for the first time and this is awesome. I love that she not only gets wings but gets a tiara. Even more perfect.
