SDCC 2017 - Transformers G1 Jewelry From Han Cholo - Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave!
BaCon - Friday, July 21, 2017

After making collections of all of these pop culture staples, which was brandon’s dream, Han Cholo gained the license from Hasbro to make Officially Licensed Transformers Jewelry. Gearing up for the release of the many exclusives at San Diego Comic con, Han Cholo found it fitting to make their release date of the Transformers jewelry collection to go along with the release of Transformers: The Dark Knight. With the new fans of the franchise excited about the movie Brandon wanted to give something to the old school fans of the 80’s Cartoon and thats just what he did. Basing the collection on Generation 1 toys, the first rollout features Optimus Prime, Megatron and Soundwave in all their glory. Additionally, stay tuned for some exiting new products. We have been told there is a transformable Soundwave pendant or key-chain in the works. They are also looking to produce many more G1 pins for other characters and variations on Wave 1 characters to come.

It's been a little while, but the TF @ The Moon team has once again released some lost studio recording audio from the G1 cartoon for everyone to enjoy. The latest samples come from The Ultimate Doom part 3, and the followup episode Countdown to Extinction. Of special note, Countdown to Extinction features a few Optimus Prime lines done by a fill-in in place of Peter Cullen, who sounds a lot like Chris Latta to us. These lines were obviously never meant for broadcast, and are another rare inside look at some of the technical side of the making of the old cartoon. Both videos are embedded below and are definitely worth a listen!
