SDCC 2017 - Vintage G1 Patent Illustrations On Display - Hinting At Power Of The Primes?

BaCon is at SDCC, and while getting photos of Hasbro's Preview night displays last night, he noticed something: Hasbro had reproductions of some original Transformers patent illustrations on display at their booth! While just a neat thing in its own right, it got him thinking if maybe the ones they picked might give some insight into Power of the Primes... keep reading and see for yourself!
The figures shown are Powermaster Optimus Prime, and two of the three Micromaster Combiner Transports. While not as obscure as, say, Shuffler, it's definitely an unusual pair to be putting on display without some kind of reason.

Of course, this could be displaying some of the influences that went into Titans Return, seeing as we just got a Powermaster Optimus Prime in that line, and it did incorporate micro-playset concepts into most figures. But we'd certainly welcome new Powermasters, and updating the $5 Titan Master pricepoint with micro-Transformers and their combining vehicles could definitely be a winner. We'll find out more this afternoon!
