Just in from the Hasbro Press Preview are the new Transformers SIEGE toys. Siege is more Generation 1 oriented and more scaled to each other and the G1 style animation. We will see styles from other past lines also like the "rid" ultra Magnus. Being able to use a interchangeable "combat" system for the figures in the line. It is also a start for the new trilogy. Keep reading for photos and a list of what's been shown!
The biggest new thing on display is Leader-class Ultra Magnus, first seen in the promotional video from earlier. He's very detailed and in a more squared-off G1-style body than the Combiner Wars Leader Magnus from years past. Also, the first images have been shown of Deluxe Chromia & Ironhide. Chromia looks very much like she'd fit in with Moonracer and Novastar from Power of the Primes in terms of vehicle shape, if not styling - the level of surface detail on the pair is something else. Ironhide's robot mode is not yet shown.
We also got better looks at Deluxe Hound & Sideswipe, previously seen in promotional images and video. Like Sideswipe, Hound's Cybertronian mode is basically an Earth mode that doesn't directly correspond to any licensable vehicle. Hound is also sporting Deluxe Cog as a selection of weapons and accessories - in addition to transforming Cog can be split up into more gear for your other Transformers.
Lastly in the SIEGE, we've seen three Micromaster Patrols! Patrols seem to be two members each now as opposed to the classic four, lending the possibility that each G1 Patrol will be two distinct sets. But we've seen Rescue Patrol Red Hot & Stakeout, Battle Patrol Flak & Big Shot, as well as a pair of Micromaster cars whose identities elude us at the moment.
Also in the gallery are G1 Reissue Line, the Transformers Collectible Card Game, and a new reissue of Titans Return Leader Soundwave in Bumblebee: Greatest Hits packaging which makes no sense since the cassettes included with the two exclusive Bumblebee figures should not fit Titans Return Soundwave.
