Following their line of highly detailed Transformers movie toys. Jada Metals have revealed at Toy Fair 2018 they have obtained the licsense to to Transformers Generation 1 toys as well. Read on for details on a new Optimus Prime Truck and their new micro series.

Via @FakeEyes22 on Twitter, we've now seen new Transformers G1 products from Super7! Most intriguing is the Keshi Surprise series, blindboxed minifigures based on the M.U.S.C.L.E. format known in Japan as "Keshi" or "Keshi Gomu." Also present are 12" Super Cyborgs which are G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron figures with transparencies to show their inner workings. All this, plus drinking glasses and enamel pins. Just in form Toy Fair 2018, we have news of two new Transformers figures from Flame Toys. What appear to be non-transforming editions of Optimus Prime and Starscream. These look a lot like the designs we saw from their Kuro Kara Kuri Drift with extended articulation and weapons. Update: these are said to be offered as model kits that you assemble yourself. No word on their price and release date at this time. Read on to see the images of both figures.

Coming to us throw Dengeki Hobby, we have the first reveal of an upcoming Masterpiece exclusive. MP-17+ follows along the likes of red Alert and Sideswipe as an "anime" colors version of Masterpiece Prowl. The deco is most distinctly different with the blue tint to the windows as well as more simplified markings to be better in line with how the character was represented in the cartoon. Along with that, this release will include the shoulder rocket accessories that were previously a bonus item for purchasing through a specific Japanese retailer. MP-17+ Prowl appears to be a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive, due for release in September. Click through to see the photos!

Just about everyone into Transformers knows Optimus Prime's iconic Ion Blaster weapon that his been with from the beginning. How cool would it be if you could have one that you can hold in your hands, just like the Autobot Leader? Thanks to Bob Clagett, the man behind "I Like To Make Stuff" channel on YouTube. He has done what many can only dream of. He's 3D printed a GIANT-sized Optimus Prime Ion Blaster rifle that looks pretty darn good! Taking advantage of modern 3D printers he was able to reproduce the G1 rifle he can hold in his hands.

It's an interesting time we live in where a mix of Youtube, consumer-accessible 3D printing, and people who are good at building things who also still love the toys from their childhood can all come together and show us something really cool. In today's example, we have a 15 minute video showing the design and construction of a giant replica of Optimus Prime's rifle, estimated by the builder to be about 50% of its "real" size. And it has lights and sounds! At four feet long it looks more like an Optimus Prime bazooka, but it's a cool process to see take place. We've got the video embedded below, and you'll definitely want to check this one out!

Just out are the official images and details for the Transformers: Legacy Of Cybertron Optimus Prime LE600 Statue from Imaginarium Art. From Transformers this Legacy of Cybertron Optimus Prime statue is limited to 600 pieces worldwide and is made of PU, polyresin, and 3D printed parts. Transformers designer Emiliano Santalucia gives up another Transformers preview. This time around we're getting a sneek peek at the Pop Culture Shock 10"-12" small scale G1 Optimus Prime statue. The computer rendered image shows an uncolored G1-type design of Optimus Prime with something in his hand. It looks like i may be a plume from the blast of the fusion cannon. Statue Day continues as Statue Season, it seems! Today Imaginarium Art has updated their Facebook with a promotional image for "Judgment," one of the five faces (of darkness, natch) seen on the Quintessons in G1 Transformers. Promising a respondent to the image that they will formally announce the piece "very soon," no doubt Imaginarium will first post designs for the other four faces first. Keep reading to see!

Imaginarium Art has been pretty busy on Facebook this last week! The statue makers have posted images of a massive Nemesis Prime statue, as well as a smaller (12") Optimus Prime statue that is piloting a new line titled The Legacy of Cybertron. Also shown is a work-in-progress statue of G1 Jazz! Keep reading to see the images.

Virulina, leader of the Darkling Lords, has discovered that the Transformers are vulnerable to magic–and now she’s using that weakness to try and gain control of Cybertron and wipe them out! Leoric and Ironhide team up to stop her, but quickly find themselves facing not only the Darkling Lords, but all of New Prysmos itself!

Canadian fans will be glad to know they can get the Transformers Generations Year of the Rooster Platinum Edition Optimus Prime on clearance price for just $98 CAD. That's a nice discount from the regular $159 price on this exclusive set that has never been offered here in the USA. Unfortunately for us, Walmart Canada does not ship to the USA - I checked.
