Sunstreaker is the latest release in the Masterpiece Autobot car lineup, fresh out from TakaraTomy as of the end of December. We've got a couple of reviews to bring you of this anticipated counterpart to Sideswipe tonight. First up, Anthony from TFU.info has made his video review debut looking at Sunstreaker, giving an essential overview in less than 7 minutes. Joining that in our mini-roundup is a longer format review from TMan978 on our forums who passed his video along to us today. You can find both embedded in the full post below, starting with the TFU.info review. Click through and check it out!
Hasbro Asia's collector coin bonus for non-Japanese Asian markets is often very well presented for a little hunk of metal. But this one - seen via the Masterpiece Transformers Facebook page - has one of the most ingenious bits of packaging yet: a sleeve designed to look like a cassette box with a double-sided package representing both Autobot and Decepticon Tapes inside! The coin itself features the head of Enemy, and the reverse calls him out along with the other figures in the set: Nightstalker, Wing Thing, and Stripes. Keep reading to see!
Thanks to sig_yan on Twitter, we've got a few early shots of the TakaraTomy Mall exclusive MP15/16-E Cassettebot vs Cassettetron set. Though containing an assortment of semi-obscure Autobot and Decepticon cassette characters - and Wingthing, the Action Master partner that later became a cassette character - this is most notable for Nightstalker. This gave us our first look at the base tooling clearly meant to be Steeljaw, hinting at a Masterpiece Blaster somewhere in the future. Keep reading for a quick look at the contents, and some detail shots of Nightstalker!
Site sponsor Robotkingdom has posted images of MP-39 Sunstreaker's Hasbro Asia collector coin to Facebook! As is fairly typical for Hasbro Asia, the coin depicts Sunstreakers face and comes shipped in a cardboard sleeve in the shape of his chest. Keep reading to see!
TaoTaoToys on Weibo has shared two photos showing the outer box for the soon to be released Masterpiece Sunstreaker. MP-39 has its official release date in Japan at the end of this month, so it's not entirely surprising that a few pieces may have found their way out to other channels at this point. The packaging is largely the standard fare with the familiar styling and array of stock imagery we've already seen, but it's good as a start point to get the excitement going for the release in just a couple of weeks' time! Shared on Facebook by Bruce Dong, we have a first look in hand video for MPM-5 Movie Masterpiece Barricade. The video itself is not the highest quality or honestly the most clear demo of the toy, but the presenters do run through things like the moving parts, installing the spinning blade accessory weapon, and naturally, spend several minutes on the transformation. The video is in Chinese, as is so often the case with these early looks, but you can pick up the basics. We've also taken a few screencaps so you can check out some of the details more thoroughly. Keep reading to find it all in the full article!
Weibo user 小白哥乌拉诺斯 has posted scans of MPM-5 Movie Masterpiece Barricade's instructions! The transformation is, as would be expected, complex, taking 40 steps to accomplish. And that doesn't even count the extra steps needed to prepare his arm for his Daisy Wheel of Murder weapon! Keep reading to see for yourself.

We get a good look at the figure's transformation, as well as option parts for the chest to make the windows more accurately represent either the animation model or the vehicle mode, as well as various design illustrations done for the figure. Keep reading!
Weibo user 北马伊斯力 has posted a string of images pertaining to MP-41 Dinobot! While the shots are all of the grayscale model, we get a solid look at the figure's transformation as well as some great closeups of its alternate faces. This week on Radio Free Cybertron: A whole lot of official images of MP-41 Dinobot came out. How do we feel about how it looks? (Hint: The bot mode looks great. Dino mode maybe not so much). Titans Return came out this week. What lessons, if any, did the the creators learn from Combiner Wars? And you will not believe who made it into the Toy Hall of Fame ahead of Transformers. I'd tell you to write down your guess, but then you'd already know the answer. All that and more on this episode of RFC!
The full barrage of Masterpiece Dinobot publicity is underway, and TakaraTomy has struck on two fronts! First a promo video has gone up on Youtube, giving some new angles and details on the upcoming Masterpiece, as well as showing the figure alongside select sequences from the Beast Wars cartoon. TakaraTomy's official site has also added the product page, and while many photos there are the ones we've seen already, we get some value out of the 360-view slides that offer the all-important view of the robot's back, plus other areas of interest. There's a lot to check out, and you can find screencaps and mirrored photos for it all below!
