We recently showed you some early in hand looks at the Titan Class Predaking set from GenmonTCracker's twitter account. As a followup, Genmon's Facebook page now contains many more "studio" style shots of the toys, both as individual Predacons and in the combined form of Predaking. The Predaking photos show the combiner looking very flexible, even doing - you guessed it - the Iron Man three-point-landing pose. And if you think the individual Predacons might be looking just a bit better ...well, that's probably just because the dark background helps the combiner thighs fade out of sight a bit. Check out all the photos in the gallery below.
Just in via Previews World, we have the latest on upcoming Transformers comics from IDW heading to shops and digital this August. The end of the universe proceeds in its own good time between issues 3 and 4 of the Unicron
miniseries, with its echoes felt in issue 23 of Optimus Prime
, all while Lost Light
tends to its own final affairs in its own issue 23. In the movie world, the third issue of the Bumblebee prequel story, plus a separate trade paperback featuring a Bumblebee of a completely different flavor! Cover previews and blurbs can all be found below...
The Prime Masters were meant to represent the Thirteen Primes that are part of (at least one) creation mythology for the Transformers. But even as far back as last year's infamous giant leak that Hasbro assures us never actually happened, it was clear that some were missing from the planned lineup. In an image whose original source is fuzzy at best, we have what looks like part of the paperwork from Titan Class Predaking that shows the emblem forms of all 12 (the thirteenth being represented in the toyline by the Matrix) hinting that the ones currently missing from any known assortment could still happen. Check out the image below!
Though you could hardly call it the Optimal Situation, Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal would seem to be the focus of this week's episode of Power of the Primes!
Again, we're not keeping up on this one... but if you'd like
to, keep reading for a link to the go90 service where the show is viewable in North America.
Thanks to Twiiter user @TcrackerGenmon who's posted some in-hand image of the Titan Class Transformers Predaking team out of the box. This is one mean looking team!
Here we have a look at what these figures look like in the final production colors, with paint apps, combined and in the packing. The figures appear to be packed in beast modes on a big tray with the weapon and all secured with twist-ties.
Via TFND on Facebook, we have a look at the regular stock photos for Wreck-Gar, the Power of The Primes retool of Combiner Wars Groove. Expected to be a Walgreens exclusive, Wreck-Gar is an interesting combination of elements, seemingly dropping the groove mold's guns in favor of the same pinwheel axe from the original Generations toy, and including a Dinobot-type POTP combiner hand piece. We've got images of the robot and vehicle modes, package front, and a low res image of part of the back panel. Check them all out below!
In some parts of the world, not only is ToysRUs not going out of business, but they're still getting toys before everyone else. One such case is the Philippines, where Xavier Basa/@neurowing
has spotted the Wave 3 Prime Masters: Quintus Prime/Bludgeon, Megatronus/Bomb-Burst, and Solus Prime/Octopunch! Keep reading for photographic proof.
Canadian retailer Northmen Collectibles have posted a pre-order page for the much anticipated Titans Return Predaking combiner team. They are rolling this set out for $229 CAD with word that this will be shipping out in October 2108. Read on to see the fill product information and official images for more details on these toys.
Machinima has released a new video to Facebook showing the history of the Requiem Blaster, the latest all-important plot device coming to their Prime Wars Trilogy web cartoons. The video explains the in-universe history of the weapon using various clips from Power of The Primes, particularly focusing on the history of Megatronus and Solus Prime. There's probably elements to this video that could be considered spoilers for upcoming episodes, so if that's something you actually care about you may want to proceed carefully, but otherwise you can check out the video embedded below.
The third episode of Power of the Primes,
Machinima's third and final installment in their Prime Wars
Trilogy of animations, is now live on go90 in the US and on Tumblr for other territories!
The episode is titled "Without Warning," and that's all we can tell you; last week's episode - with Devastator fighting on with a gigantic hole in his chest but Menasor dying thanks to firm pressure on his back
- finally broke us. Keep reading for a link if you're still following along!
The Amazon Japan update for today included a lot of images for TakaraTomy's October releases, including what will probably be their next-to-last round of Power of the Primes
imports! Included are Prime Master Alpha Trion with Landmine, Legends Skrapnel and Tailgate, Deluxe Novastar, and Voyager Inferno. The last two of those are probably of the greatest interest as these are the best images we've seen of those two to date - including a look at Inferno's Torso Mode! Keep reading to see.
Coming from Amazon, we've got our first looks at the final stock photography for the upcoming wave 3 Legends figures Outback and Cindersaur. Comprising the last new figures in the assortment for general retail, Outback is a retool of Titans Return Brawn, and Cindersaur is a Decepticon redeco of Slash. Though the collector card pictured is misprinted with an Autobot symbol - it'll be interesting to see if that error carries forward to the full production. These photos give us good looks at the alt modes for both toys, and a nice view on the new Outback head sculpt. Check them out below.
TFW2005 board member catz
has posted some interesting information regarding some potential shakeups to the size classes in the upcoming Generations reboot, War For Cybertron.
The Legends class seems to be going away again, with the lower two size classes becoming Micromasters and Battlemasters. There's also talk of blindbox figures - which tracks fairly well with the usual product development cycle as to when fans first suggested that for Titans Return.
Keep reading for the Generations rumors, along with some potential Bumblebee: The Movie, Studio Series, and Movie Masterpiece info!
Yesterday and today are the dates for Playcon, the annual US toy industry symposium where important people from the field meet to discuss the future of toys. A digital town hall meeting was held in which the CEO of the resurrected KB Toys, Ellia Kassoff,
detailed his plans for moving forward with the chain. Keep reading for a very long, very dry video, and highlights!

By way of a listing on Taobao-affiliated TMall, we have the first sign of what looks like a giftset release of the Dinobot combiner Volcanicus heading to retail in China and perhaps other Hasbro-marketed regions of Asia. Specific details are few as the product listing is fully in Chinese, but it does seem implied that this will be normal retail stock bundled together in a bigger box, rather than a uniquely produced version of the toys. Along with the Dinobots, it seems this will come with a branded notebook, and an amount of credit or other bonuses for the Earth Wars mobile game. Check out the listing images below!
