German website Brandora
has posted official images of the Power of the Primes
Wave 2 Prime Masters, Alchemist Prime with Submarauder and Alpha Trion with Landmine! The pair follow along in the established "Pretenders" form factor for the Prime Masters size class, and look pretty good! Keep reading to see the images.
The first of wave 1 literally just started appearing at retail in the US a couple days ago, and we're already starting to see a quick inflow if data about wave 2! Via Southern Hobby Supply, we have a few listing for Power of The Primes giving info about the second wave case assortments. We know the breakdowns now for the Prime Master, Voyager, and Leader classes. Deluxe and Legends did not have populated info as of the time of this writing. Find out what's coming up in the full article below.
Coming to us from one of the recurring Weibo sources, we have two stock photo images of the packaging for Prime Masters Alpha Trion (wearing a Landmine Decoy Suit/Pretender shell) and Alchemist Prime with Submarauder suit. These present in package almost identically to the Titan Masters we've had for the last year and a half, simply swapping the "Decoy Suit" Pretender shell for a transforming vehicle. All signs right now are that we should expect to see the first trickles of POTP products hitting stores in the upcoming few weeks - hopefully with good distribution everywhere by the start of 2018. Click through to see the two images.

As Optimus, Pyra Magna and Starscream wait to receive a very important phone call, Alpha Trion relates a story of the origins of the first Cybertronian unification, brought about by The Primes long before known history began. "Origin Myths" written by John Barber. Modern-day art by Kei Zama and colored by Josh Burcham; Ancient Cybertron art and colors by Livio Ramondelli. Click here to read the review!

We're treated to images from time to time out of Emiliano Santalucia's portfolio, getting to see design and concept art for many of the toys in the various Transformers lines. Tonight's example though from his Facebook is something extra special. This is a "concept board" produced at an early stage of the planning of Combiner Wars. How early, you might ask? Santalucia dates the piece to 2013 - two years before the line debuted at retail! There's some really interesting details in this art, keep reading to find out more...
Look at that thing!
Those guys are tiny,
and it looks so good! LG-41 Leo Prime
(occasionally known as LioConvoy
) is TakaraTomy's release of the Titans Return
Alpha Trion mold, swapping out Sovereign for the Sentinel Prime head. Happily, it looks like the gun stays tabbed to the top of lion mode properly, which was a problem for Trion. Remold, better QC, or is @Alfes2010 just that patient a photographer? Keep reading to have a look at his photos, mirrored here for your convenience!
TakaraTomy's TF_pr Twitter account is starting to promote the upcoming release of Leo Prime in the Legends line later this month. The figure is a recolor of Titan Return Alpha Trion based on Lio Convoy, and using the Titan Master mold from Sentinel Prime to give it that Prime-ish look. One photo gives us a look at the toy's packaging, while the other sees Leo Prime borrowing a bit of Starscream's coronation gear, specifically the cape from the Masterpiece. Sadly, it seems that it's simply propped up in place rather than being able to attach for real. Click through to see the mirrored pictures!
The TF_pr Twitter account has shared a new photo of LG-41 Leo Prime. The recolor and headswap of Titans Return Alpha Trion is based on Beast Wars II's Lioconvoy, and is one in a growing series of recolors to represent the character. The new photo helps highlight just how pretty the deco is. Not to mention how much detail there is in the sculpting that can be brought out with the right paint choices! Leo Prime is expected at the end of February. Keep reading to see the full size photo.
e-Hobby has posted a preorder page for their new followup exclusive to Convobat, Magna Convoy
! Magna Convoy is a recolor of 2006's oft-reused Classics Voyager Optimus Prime mold in a blue and black color scheme that resembles the cab of Diaclone Powered Convoy, AKA the original toy release of Ultra Magnus in the color scheme now given over to the Delta Magnus character. He also includes a "Matrix Sword" from the Titans Return Voyager Alpha Trion mold as well as a shield from Deluxe Mindwipe. Keep reading for his mechanically-translated bio!
The East Point City shopping center in Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong is currently featuring an excellent Transformers exhibit. The Battle For The Ark is centered around a human-scale reproduction of part of the classic Autobot Headquarters, notably the Teletran-1 console, along with a lot of other thematic elements to accompany it. Displays of large, notable toys are included, as well as a sequential transformation for Titans Return Alpha Trion and Astrotrain using multiples of each toy. This has gotten some good local coverage, and we've mirrored some of those photos - you'll definitely want to check these out. Keep reading!
With the toy packaging favoring brevity, to put it mildly, the old days of character bios seem to be behind us. But where the packages are unable to provide, Hasbro is still filling in some extra info via their Transformers website. The various product pages for the first two waves of Titans Return carry generally at least somewhat enhanced character blurbs that offer a little more detail. Some of these have been seen previously, but for most of wave 2 we're getting first looks at things like Titan Master powers, plus some nice touches of flavor in the character writing. Keep reading for a collection of all the bios to date!
