Blackout Blackout

Hasbro Official unleashes the "Leaked from Cybertron" update on none other than the much talked about, Leader Class Movie 1 Decepticon Blackout. They have given up several new image by way of the social networks that show the figure in his drawing board, prototype and final production phases. Read on to the a look a the preview for the Leader Class Movie 1 Decepticon Blackout figure below.

This Studio Series Leader Class lineup features premium figures, each with movie-inspired scale, detail, and backdrop. Figures stand at a scale relative to their character’s height in the movie and feature deco. Each package comes with a movie scene backdrop that can be removed to display the figure on shelf. Fans can use the backdrop and pose their figures in the scene with their own style.

Thanks to Paladin who reported the find on twitter this afternoon, we can confirm that the Leader Class figures from Studio Series are hitting retail in the US. This sighting happened at a Meijer location in Wixom, Michigan, and at least one each of both Blackout and Grimlock were seen. Also reported on the shelf, though not photographed, were the wave 1 Deluxes. Voyagers have also previously been found at Meijer, so if you're in the Midwest, that looks like the place to go for the entire Studio Series lineup right now!

Leader Class Blackout has been one of the major entries from the Studio Series lineup that's caught a lot of people's attention since we first found out about it, as previous tries at the character have all been at smaller scales. Today kevin Liu has a video up on Youtube taking a good look at the brand new Blackout. We've seen some in hand photos previously that help show off the design and details, but this is our first look at how it transforms - a process that while involved, doesn't look overly complex or fiddly to pull off. You can have a look and decide for yourself what you think about it in the video embedded below.

Yenting Lai of Facebook group TFND- Transformers Never Die has posted an extensive photo set for Studio Series Blackout! It's an impressive figure, to be sure. The backdrop included in-package is particularly nice as well, copying the desert scene where Blackout and Scorponok first made their appearance in 2007's Transformers film. We've mirrored the images here for you, so keep reading to see!

Via reddit, we have a first in-store sighting of the complete first wave of Studio Series product, comprising the Deluxe, Voyager, and now Leader classes. The find is from Auckland, New Zealand, and the original poster confirms that both Grimlock and Blackout were present at the store, marking their first appearance at standard retail. Their debut in the US is a bit of a question mark as we wait for a street date to come and go, but with Toys R Us on the way out, it's unclear if they may jump the line and go ahead and push whatever inventory is on hand while they have the chance. Amazon Canada is providing us with our first details about the third assortment of Tiny Turbo Changers figures, tied in to the upcoming Transformers: Bumblebee movie line. While there are no images of the figures currently, the description on the page names the entire assortment, leading to what we can suspect is some number of reused molds, but a fair few which sound like they must be all new. Click through to get the full character list!

Thanks to Transformers Dioramas, we have some photos of the Studio Series lineup reveal event at ABRIN 2018 in Brazil. The Toy Fair-like show featured several pieces from the line, notably including a packaged sample of Blackout, plus Voyager Megatron which was posed next to other Voyagers, showing a signficant difference in size between Megatron and just about everyone else at that price point. One person was even seen handling one of the Grimlock samples, giving a general idea of the overall volume of that toy as well. We've mirrored many photos from the event which you can find below, plus a link back to the original post.

We have a mini-roundup going for information coming about about the upcoming Studio Series movie-based line. What we're currently interpreting as a sort of Generations-equivalent for the movie series seems to be shaping up to be fairly sizeable thanks to a dump from a store inventory system by one Mr. Chaos who has provided UPCs and other data for us to examine, showing many Deluxes and Voyagers, plus the Leader Grimlock and Blackout toys. Autobase Aichi has also dug up a couple of photos of some of the toys seemingly from an event in China, though the author doesn't know specifics. Click through for more detail and shots of Starscream, Optimus, Ratchet and Crowbar!

Happy Weibo Leak Day, I guess? The same Weibo source that brought us the image of the box back panel now has posted images of the upcoming Movie Series Blackout and its accessory Scorponok!
