Megatron Megatron

NDA Toys has disclosed new official packaged images of Cyberverse Action Attacker Ultra and Ultimate-class figures! In the Ultra class we've got Bumblebee, Starscream, and Grimlock and Optimus Prime & Megatron for the Ultimate class. As the on-site name for each class indicates, the SRP for Ultras is $20 and Ultimates are $30. Keep reading to see the images and read the official description of each class!

Amazon has updates on a couple of upcoming products for us today. We've finally got good copies of the stock photography for Studio Series Voyager Wave 2, consisting of Megatron as he appeared in Revenge of The Fallen, and Brawl, who only appeared in the first movie. Notably it's our first look at the vehicle mode photo for Brawl, from which we can deduce that he may have an affinity for guns. And for both toys this is our first chance at these stock photos without Weibo-leaker watermarks attached - not to mention higher overall quality. Click through to take a look!

Amazon has posted product pages with official images for the Power of the Primes wave 3 Prime Masters! Quintus Prime with Bludgeon, Bomb-Burst with Megatronus, and Solus Prime with Octopunch continue the Mini-Pretender format of the previous two waves, with each turning into a weapon. The focus is on melee weapons this wave, with Octopunch becoming a trident weapon, Bomb-Burst becoming a claw, and Bludgeon... well, guess. Keep reading to see the images!

TFCon Toronto reports that Garry Chalk, voice actor of Optimus Primal (Beast Wars, Beast Machines) and Optimus Prime(Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, Transformers: Cybertron) will be making an appearance at the convention this year! Chalk will be at the con for the entire weekend, attending Q&A panels and holding autograph sessions. Keep reading for details!

We were told there were more Power of the Primes exclusives we didn't know about, and here we are! Hasbro's Russian branch posted to the social media site VK.com with an image of what appears to be a new Leader class Nemesis Prime based on the Wave 1 Leader Optimus Prime! The figure sports new accessories and a new headsculpt - making us extremely curious about what the Orion Pax figure in the chest might look like. Keep reading to see!

On Weibo, NOTRAB has shared out a few photos of the wave 2 Studio Series Voyager Megatron. The figure represents Megatron based on his appearance in Revenge of The Fallen specifically. While that form is certainly not without representation, this newest take is definitely giving a good effort at impressing with the design. We only have a small number of photos from this batch, but they do a nice job showing some of the robot's flexibility and giving a look at the alt mode. You can find them all mirrored below.

The weibo user we know as "tf-factory" has done it again, leaking another piece of Transformers print material not long after a dump of Studio Series Megatron's stock photos earlier today. The latest unauthorized release is packaging art for Power of The Primes Inferno, a redeco and minor retool of Combiner Wars Hot Spot. Though despite that we know the mold is Hot Spot, the art depicts it incorrectly using elements from the Onslaught alternate parts trees - a fact most easily recognized in the design of the chest panel (though the shoulders are a giveaway too). You can find the full size image below.

Wholesaler NDA Toys has given us a first look at the official stock photo for Voyager Class Brawl from the second wave of the Studio Series lineup. This conveniently follows on from a leaked look at Megatron's stock photography, also from wave 2. Through this we have a nice look at the figure in its final color and production plastics, letting us know what to expect when this figure starts getting in the hands of collectors... well, sometime after April 20th, at least, as that was what we last knew as a street date for Studio Series. And it's not always out of the question to see a second product wave hit shortly after the first when a sale date is enforced! Click through to see the full size image.

In a post refreshingly devoid of purple marker, the usual Weibo leaker has shared images of the upcoming Studio Series Voyager Megatron. A new mold based on Megatron's Revenge of the Fallen appearance, the figure looks quite good in both modes even if the cannon/sword assembly on the right arm reminds us of nothing so much as a crab to this very day. Keep reading for more images of Crabtank Megatron!

On Facebook, XM Studios has posted a new teaser render for an upcoming licensed Megatron statue they're working on. The highly stylized take on G1 Megatron has all of the recognizable elements, though done in a style that's more like movie-meets-G1. Interestingly it's also called out as being "1/10 scale". But without an indication what they're basing the "real" height on, that doesn't offer much clarity toward the size that this statue will ultimately be. We've mirrored the teaser image below, click through and take a look!

The second voice actor that TFNation is proud to present for 2018 hails from the land of the early 2000s, and the series that some will argue is called Car Robots, when we all really know it as Robots in Disguise (2001) - please join us in welcoming the man behind Megatron, leader of the Predacons: Daniel Riordan!

Transformers At The Moon has posted the latest in their series of deleted audio and extended scenes from the original 1984 The Transformers cartoon series! This time, they've got over ten minutes' worth of dialogue from "Heavy Metal War," featuring the first appearance of the Constructicons. Keep reading to see the video along with a transcript of the dialogue.

Few would guess the last piece to be reissued from the original Transformers Generation 1 series would be the music scores. Even though the original cartoons have been reissued, updated and restored multiple times. Fans that have been asking for copies of the Original Sound Tracks (OST) masters have finally gotten theirs, on vinyl of all things. IF, they were fast enough to buy one of the 2,000 copies that sold out in less than 10 minutes. The good news is a second pressing is in the works.

Anthony Brucale of TFU.INFO has posted an unboxing video and in-hand photos of the already sold-out Enjoy The Ride Records release of the original soundtrack to The Transformers! Anthony got the "Megatron" version, which is one of the two versions available directly via ETR. Additional "Bumblebee" copies may still be available through ThinkGeek, but for now click through to see what the package looks like!

If a TV show is very lucky, it will have during its lifespan some singularly defining moment that completely alters the way the entire work is viewed from then onward. If it's fortunate to the extreme, that change of audience perception will even be a positive one. As one of the most important contributors to the overall body of Transformers fiction, Beast Wars was graced with such a moment, when, on this day twenty years ago, March 9th, 1998, the episode Code of Hero debuted in US first run syndication.
