So you never even saw Titans Return
Wave 5 or 6. And you missed out on your $50 Trypticon at Ollie's. And you're fully convinced that Power of the Primes
Wave 2 is an urban legend (despite owning 3 of the Deluxes and all the Legends) and that Wave 3 is simply a mass-hallucination. Have you considered... stopping? If not stopping outright, stopping seriously
collecting, and being emotionally invested in whether or not you get a given toy. RAC has, and he decided that stressing over his toy collection is a problem he no longer needs. Keep reading to see the factors that led him to this point.
Before they were the force behind the Titanium Series
, Galoob already had Transformers connections. Some indirect, such as Micro Machines
being the trend that helped inspire Micromasters, and some quite direct, such as their spokesman being one of the most memorable voices from Transformers: The Movie
and the third season of the original cartoon. Having only been founded in 1958 Galoob is one of the younger companies on the list, with the peak of their success happening alongside the first generation of Transformers. Keep reading to learn more!
From our forums, we've got another video by chuckdawg1999, this time taking a look at the newly released MP-40 Targetmaster Hot Rod. The video serves as a good comparison between this Hot Rod and the original release, really highlighting the significance of the new deco. Plus of course we have a look at the Targetmaster figure itself, originally seen on the US release of Masterpiece Rodimus Prime. You can find the video embedded below; click through to watch now!

Get a look at his concept renderings of the Evolution Rodimus Prime's robot and alternate mode designs from the Power of the Primes series. This design is intereting in that is shows the function of the chest to accommodate the Matrix.

Earlier tonight we shared with you some photos of an apparently early-release copy of Rodimus Unicronus, the new addition to Power of The Primes Leader class wave 2. But there's a bit of a discrepancy with it, as highlighted for us on Twitter by Barricade64
. The official images we've seen of the toy since it was revealed have featured aspects of its deco and the slight remolding of the Rodimus Prime head that point to an intentional nod at the Shattered Glass continuity that was a recurring staple of Fun Publications' time producing licensed material for the brand. It seems that isn't quite so much the case anymore. Keep reading!
It's been a contentious issue over the last couple of Prime Wars
installments, and it's only getting more intense. We can see the appeal of stickers to solve budgetary problems, but we can also see the stickers peel - often before we've even bought the toy! In this editorial, RAC goes over the hows and whys of stickers and cites the remarkable consensus growing in a consensus-resistant collector community: Hasbro, Please Stop.

Wrapping up his Best Of 2017 series, RAC looks back at the things that excited him more as news stories than anything else this past year. A lot of those come down to toys that didn't necessarily make his Best Of list for the year, but did unfold in interesting ways news-wise. Pour yourself a bowl of Trypticon's Titan Master Crunch and keep reading to see the best news of 2017!

Finally, the last price point for wave 1 of Power of The Primes has hit retail in the US, marking the completed launch of the newest iteration of Transformers Generations. Rodimus Prime and Optimus Prime, comprising Leader wave 1 have been purchased from a Target in Duarte, California by MoonStreakr
who shared a photo of the toys with the receipt for verification. It looks like these have been pulled from a freshly opened case, and as of the time of this writing, online checks of Target's database are not indicating any stock in the country, so we may have to wait a bit for the system to catch up before it's time to start the hunt again. Thanks to Kevin Liu we now have a very good look at Leader class Rodimus Prime, capping off the first wave of Power of The Primes. Kevin's video is of course in Chinese, but presented clearly enough to tell what's going on anyway. Most interestingly, we get side by sides with Titans Return Hot Rod, which shows the Hot Rod form of this toy to actually be a fair bit bigger. As Titans Return Hot Rod was already a bit big for a Deluxe, you can imagine the new one is surely pushing the boundaries of being comparable with Deluxes! The video as well as plenty of screencaps can all be found below - keep reading to see it all!
